TRAI requires voice-and-SMS-only vouchers for 30-day and shorter plans

On 22 September 2026 the telecom regulator notified rules that require operators to offer voice-and-SMS-only vouchers for bundled plans of 30 days or less, plus a voucher that renews on the same date each month. Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha welcomed the step. His comment is a reaction. The obligation is the regulation, as the newspapers report it.
