This note is NP NOW. The stamp is verified. India Today, The Indian Express and the Hindustan Times live blog were read at about 4:55 pm IST on 17 October 2026. India Today's page time is 4:52 pm IST. The Indian Express is 4:45 pm IST, updated at 4:52 pm IST. The Hindustan Times live-blog entry is 4:45 pm IST. The carousel was posted at 5:45 pm IST. The spelling used here is Abhijeet, as The Indian Express writes it. India Today's web address uses Abhijit.

On Saturday 17 October, a Special Executive Magistrate court at Mandir Marg police station in Delhi gave Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke conditional bail. India Today says he was not sent to judicial custody. The condition of release is signing a peace bond. The Hindustan Times entry says he was produced before the SEM at Mandir Marg and released subject to a conditional bail bond.

The outlets do not use the same tense for the release, and this note does not pick one. The Indian Express says he was released on conditional bail after signing a peace bond. The Hindustan Times live blog, in the 4:45 pm IST entry, says he was released by the SEM subject to a conditional bail bond. India Today, at 4:52 pm IST, says he will be released shortly after signing a peace bond, once bond formalities are done. The caption attributes both wordings. A recheck note in the package, written before posting, says India Today still had "shortly" at 4:52 pm IST.

The background, from India Today and from The Hindu with PTI, is the arrest on Friday 16 October. Delhi Police arrested him under sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, in a new breach-of-peace case, before the "Lehra Do Tiranga" march at Connaught Place. A separate published note is about what was shut for that call: What's shut at CP for the Tiranga call. After he was detained from a flight at Delhi airport on 10 October, he signed a one-year peace bond. That one-year bond is the earlier episode. This note does not attach a length of time to the order of 17 October.

The caption says AISA president Neha Bora was released early on 17 October, after formalities under section 65 of the Delhi Police Act. The Hindu and PTI are the background sources for her release and for the BNSS sections. Her remarks, and any demands about the voter roll or the Chief Election Commissioner, are not in this note.

The terms, as the caption sets them out, are these. A Special Executive Magistrate is a government official who has magistrate powers. The person is not a trial judge. Section 126 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita is security for keeping the peace: a written bond, for a set period, not to disturb the peace. Section 170 is preventive arrest, a police arrest to stop a suspected offence. It is not a conviction. The 16 October arrest is reported under both sections. This note does not describe that arrest as a finding of guilt.

The caption says the official copy of today's SEM order, and all the conditions, are not public. It also says the court has not given a decision on the arrest. This note does not state a bond amount. Reports of an amount conflict, including with the bond from the 10 October case, and the figure is left out. No report used here says the court ruled on whether the arrest was lawful.
